Digital Media Manager : Shoga Films (non-profit) / #QUEERHARLEMRENAISSANCE

2018-Present

I began working with Shoga Films in December 2018. I met with business owner and filmmaker, Dr. Robert Philipson to review his needs which included a full rebranding of the organization to communicate his vision and message. At the time, he had produced his first narrative film, “Congo Cabaret” about the unsung, yet influential LGBTQ+ community of the Harlem Renaissance. We developed the slogan, “A Visual Community of Race, Sexuality, & Music” to help unite all of his work and created the #QueerHarlemRenaissance campaign to bring awareness and engage his community.

Projects included:

- Logo development (Redesign & Animation; designed color palette)

- Business card & flyer (design & production; marketing materials)

- Website Redesign + additional graphic design (set up blog to help with consistent/easy mgmt)

- Video Production (statement video/ staff interview videos/ social media content)

- Social media setup + design + implementation (youtube, instagram, facebook, twitter)

- Social media advertising (running ads on FB & IG to grow followers and engagement)

- Mailing list development (over 4600+)

- Crowdfund management (raised $15k+ for new film project)

- Community Partnerships with local artist: developed relationships with brand ambassadors
